The Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus Foundation (CABCF) was formed in 2019 to ensure the coordination and collaboration amongst the black aldermen as they represent the issues most impactful to their black constituency. The Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus includes 20 members of the Chicago City Council representing the needs and interests of Chicago’s Black communities.
Since 2019, the CABCF has been most proud of our scholarship fund program. We as a caucus are so excited to lift the power of young students and support them as they embark onto higher education. All CABCF Scholarships are non-renewable awards ranging from $5,000-$10,000, and available to students pursuing a two year or four-year degree from an accredited university.
Annually, each awarded recipient is provided $2,500 scholarships that are given to students to help alleviate the cost of tuition, fees, room and board, and books. Therefore, our average student is awarded a totaling of $10,000 for attending a four-year educational institution.
CABCF determines the selection of scholarships from an objective and non-discriminatory criteria through our scholarhip committee. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.
